Eddie Hartmann
Eddie Hartmann has been a researcher and project manager at the Hamburg Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Culture since 2020. From 2018 to 2020, he held the professorship for political sociology at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. Prior to that, he was Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Potsdam (2009-2018) and Junior Fellow of the European Research Institutes for Advanced Study Program 2015/16 (EURIAS) at the Institute for Advanced Study in Paris (IEA). In 2019, he completed his habilitation at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam. His research interests include sociological theory and methodology, the sociology of violence, theories of social movements, and critical social theory.
