Theoretical Astroparticle Physics — Teaching
Lectures
Winter term 2024/25:
Physics for everybody:
* Bachelor of education Biology, Physics, modules L-1.01 BM, BM-02-PHY * * Master of education Science, module NAWIPH2.04 *
Introduction to the conceptual development of physics, from the Newtonian mechanics and electrodynamics to the quantum physics and theory of relativity. This lecture leads to a basic understanding of questions and methods of physics, mathematics will be employed at a minimum. A partial aspect deals with the question, how to evaluate verity and accuracy of results, or ideas and models in physics.
- L / Tuesday 12:15 - 13:45 / Golm, Bldg. 27, Room 2.27.0.01 ____________________________________________________
Astrophysical and space plasma simulations:
*Master of Science Physics, Astrophysics and Mathematics, modules PHY-731t, PHY-765 *
*Bachelor of Science Physics, facultative*

Seminars
Winter term 2024/25:
Recent results in theoretical Astroparticle Physics: This seminar leads to the current frontier of research in theoretical astroparticle physics, represented by presentations on selected recent results.
- S / Monday 14:15 - 15:45 / Golm, Bldg. 28, Room 2.28.2.080
* Master of Science Physics, module 941 * * Master of Science Astrophysics, module PHY-941 *
Research projects for Master students (by arrangement)
- Introductory project Astrophysics: The students select an upper-level seminar and an introductory project in the same topic area. The topic of the introductory project generally corresponds to their specialization area for their Masters thesis. * Master of Science Physics, modules 941, PHY941 * * Master of Science Astrophysics, module PHY-941 *
- Research training Astrophysics: The students carry out a supervised independent study and a guided lab in the field of the Master´s thesis. The supervision and guidance are provided in regular consultations with the supervisor(s). > Friday 12:00 - 14:00 / Golm, Bldg. 28, Room 2.28.1.024 * Master of Science Physics, modules 942, PHY942 * * Master of Science Astrophysics, module PHY-942 *
