Report on a Student Internship

Omar S. H. completed his second student internship at the University of Potsdam from January 20 to January 30, 2025. He had already gained initial experience here in February 2024 and decided to return for another internship due to the positive impressions he had.

At the beginning, he was introduced to inclusive education by Prof. Dr. Katrin Böhme and her team. He then worked with PowerPoint and on revising materials. In addition to these technical aspects, he also had the opportunity to engage with content-related topics.

At Zessko, he worked in the media center, with TYPO3, in the language tandem program, and with Moodle, where he was able to deepen his understanding of various platform functions. Additionally, he was able to practice his English in a professional environment, allowing him to further develop his language skills.

Overall, he found the internship to be a valuable experience. He was able to expand both his media and language skills while also gaining new insights into university operations. He particularly appreciated the pleasant atmosphere and the support from his supervisors. Thanks to his prior experience, he was able to engage more deeply with specific tasks. He said he would have liked to have more time to focus on certain topics, but the two weeks were again very educational with varied tasks.
