Wolfgang Lauterbach is a full professor with interests in social science educational research, social structure and social inequality, with special respect to social mobility and wealth, life-course and transition research and family sociology. My research is charcterized through a structural appraoch with respect to individual personality traits and action. Thus, the combination of structure and social dynamics in the life-course is focused. The structure of societies (social and educational structure) as well as the structure of the life-course emerge through educational attainment, demografic factors and individual action.
