The research agenda at the chair of Romance and Comparative Literatures focuses on intercultural and transdisciplinary projects: Comparing Romance Literatures as Literatures of the World.

From a transareal point of view the research field and teaching program focus upon Comparative Literary Studies including European and non-European areas. Current projects elaborate and analyze the relationships and exchanges between the Literatures of the World.
