Dissertation Project
My research project, conducted within the framework of the Research Unit Collaborations, seeks to understand and analyze the Anti Racist Organizations in Brazil included in the Black Coalition for Rights as relevant actors of the Brazilian Black Movement in the current Brazilian political-social scenario. Black Coalition for Rights was founded in 2019. It is made up of more than 300 anti-racist organizations with the goal of political influence of the Black movement in the Brazilian legislative, judiciary and executive powers.
This research will use the following qualitative methods: interviews, participant observation and bibliography survey relating to the central topic of the investigation. All these data and materials will be gathered within the scope of this study so that an in-depth analysis can be carried out to finally understand: what is the real impact of the Black Coalition for Rights on political decision-making regarding the lives of the Black Brazilian people.
