Administrative Training
Together with the central administrative departments of the University of Potsdam, we offer a series of training courses for employees of the university's administration, which includes a kick-off event on general administration knowledge as well as specific thematic workshops on the core areas of university administration. The "Kick-Off: General Administration Knowledge" program is aimed at (new) employees of the central administration and the faculty administrations of the University of Potsdam, in particular career changers just starting out in administration. The aim of this event is to provide new employees in administration with an initial overview to help them get started in their new job.

Digitalization of Administration at the University of Potsdam
The ongoing digitalization of administrative processes at the University of Potsdam is accompanied by various information and training courses. Information, videos and materials on all events relating to the digitization of administration can be found in Moodle. You can obtain the password from Ms. Shovakar or Dr. Urbach.
Since 2022, the “Coffee to know” event series has offered all interested employees the opportunity to regularly find out about current topics in the field of digitalization and to talk to various players in the digitalization process for about the length of a coffee break. Information on current dates and registration can be found on the intranet.

Software and IT
The Center for Information Technology and Media Management (ZIM) offers tutorials on IT topics for students and employees of the University of Potsdam. For example, on how to use Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi, Photoshop, and other software.

As the central IT service provider for administration of the State of Brandenburg, the Brandenburg IT service provider(ZIT-BB) offers comprehensive IT training programs.

The Brandenburg State Academy for Public Administration (LAköV) is responsible for interdepartmental further training for state employees in the general non-technical administrative services in the State of Brandenburg.

Every year, the Hochschulinformationssystem (HIS) eG trains around 2,000 university employees in the professional use of HIS software.

Division 4 offers regular training courses on the decentralized account balance display. The training courses are aimed at administrative employees who are in charge of cost centers as well as employees with cost center responsibilities.
