Research

Research at the Chair for German Politics and Government focuses on:

  • key institutions in politics and government (e.g., parties, parliaments, bureaucracies)
  • dynamics and modes of interaction in politics and government
  • effects of politics and government (e.g., on legitimacy)

We apply classic and new theoretical perspectives, different methodological approaches, and explore novel empirical puzzles.
