Prof. Dr. Thomas Sommerer

Since October 2020, Prof. Dr Thomas Sommerer holds the " Chair of Political Science, in particular International Organisations" at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam.  

He previously worked at the Stockholm University, the University of Konstanz, the University of Hamburg and the Max Planck Institute in Bonn. His research focuses on the design, role and performance of international organisations, democracy and legitimacy in questions of global governance, as well as transnational diffusion and learning processes.
