Dissertation
If you are interested in doing a doctorate in the field of public law, in particular constitutional law, administrative law or municipal law, please contact the secretariat to arrange an appointment with Prof. Dr. Schmidt.
To be accepted as a doctoral candidate, you must have passed the 1st Jurisprudence Examination or the 2nd State Jurisprudence Examination with distinction. You must have a special scientific interest and the corresponding motivation. It is advantageous if you have already majored in public law.
Prof. Dr. Schmidt assigns dissertation topics only in cooperation with the doctoral candidate; i.e. you should also submit proposals yourself and then develop the final topic together.
Previous experience has shown that doctoral projects can generally be completed within two years, provided the appropriate commitment is made.
