We investigate cellular membranes using advanced biophysical models and quantitative fluorescence microscopy.
Our research focuses on:
- Membrane biophysics (artificial membrane models, membrane curvature, membrane asymmetry)
- Development of analytical methods for quantitative fluorescence microscopy (e.g. FCS, RICS, N&B)
- Virus assembly and budding (e.g. Influenza A virus, Hantavirus)
- Cell-cell interaction
Research Projects:
Influenza virus assembly
Hepatitis C virus assembly
Orthohantavirus assembly
HIV assembly
Protein-protein interaction analysis of amyloid precursor proteins and developmental cell-cell fusion proteins
