Forms for applications for recognition

These applications are to sent to the examination board. It is not necessary to submit the complete application, but only the completed page 1 including the signature, the last page and the page(s) on which something is to be recognized. Please attach the relevant certificates of achievement and print out the application on one side.

Protocol form for master's defences

When applying for the assignment of a topic for a master's thesis, 60 LP in total and 24 LP in the compulsory modules must have been achieved and the project internship must have been successfully completed. In addition, a summary of the topic must be submitted along with the performance overview.

Please make sure that the proposed topic has a recognizable relation to the geosciences and furthermore a relation to the chosen specialization. Regarding the proposed reviewers, please make sure that at least one of the two reviewers has a proven expertise in the corresponding field of specialization. In practice, the examination board has solved this problem by choosing a reviewer from the corresponding field of specialization.

For the master's defense, please contact the secretary's office in building 27 (sekretariat-geo@geo.uni-potsdam.de) four weeks before the desired defense date in order to find a date. Three weeks before the defense date please send an e-mail to reserve the room and to inform us about your topic, the names of the examiners and your matriculation number. The invitation will be sent by the secretariat two weeks before your defense.
