Student council teams

In order to be able to work effectively, we have decided to work in teams on specific sub-areas and to distribute and take on tasks. You can find an overview of our teams here.

Chair and Co-Chair

The Chair and the Co-Chair are the official representatives of the FSR. Only the Chairs are authorized to sign on behalf of the FSR and therefore bear a great deal of responsibility. This means that all contracts are concluded by the Chairs, as well as the creation of committee activity confirmations for FSR members.

As official representatives, they have a special responsibility for the FSR's public image. This includes maintaining contact with the institute management, the Dean of Studies Office, the decentralized Equal Opportunities Officer, other student self-administration bodies and non-university bodies that are relevant to the student council.

Within the FSR, the Chairs are responsible for chairing FSR meetings, moderating the mailing list and inviting students to extraordinary meetings as required. Furthermore, it must be checked whether the other offices are all carried out conscientiously and whether the statutes and rules of procedure are followed.

Treasurer

The office of treasurer is prescribed by the statutes of the student body and must always be filled. Treasurers manage the FSR's budget and are therefore also responsible for writing budgets. The financial guidelines must be followed and the budget must not be exceeded, which should be paid particular attention to by the treasurers. Financial decisions are always made by the FSR at the FSR meetings.

Treasurers are obliged to take part in a finance workshop organized by the AStA at least once a year. Furthermore, the handover of offices is particularly important, for which a formal handover protocol must be kept and sent to the AStA.

Minutes Keeper

The minutes keeper has the task of drawing up and writing the minutes of the FSR meetings. The minutes are published on the FSR website and can be viewed by everyone.
Minutes contain at least a list of those present, the start and end of the meeting, a summary of the speeches and all voting results.
Minutes must be uploaded to the website no later than 10 days after the meeting (especially due to financial decisions).

Event Planning Team

The event planning team develops ideas for events and plans them. These can include game nights, movie nights, parties, summer games and much more. Event planning includes liaising with venues, creating shift schedules and working with the public relations team to promote events. All events are discussed at FSR meetings before the events are announced and the financial plan must be agreed with the financiers.
The event planning team is also responsible for planning the events for the first semester students.

Public Relations Team

The Public Relations Team is divided into several subgroups that have their own responsibilities and exchange information with each other to ensure a unified presence. These include:

  • Social Media
  • Discord
  • Homepage
  • Print media

The task of the team is to prepare events and news for the FSR and make them available to students/the public. This includes advertising FSR events, sending out invitations to meetings, forwarding relevant information and creating reviews of past events.

Networking Team

Site networking is intended to strengthen cooperation between the FSR and other committees or organizations. Networkers actively seek contact with other FSRs, higher-level committees and non-university organizations that are relevant to our student council. Cooperation with the spokespersons is a good idea here, as they are automatically responsible for networking as official representatives.
In addition to local networking, there is also networking at state and national level, mainly through the Federal Student Council Conferences (BuFaTas in German).

Awareness Team

The Awareness Team and its tasks are firmly anchored in the FSR statutes in §8 paragraph 5:

"The members of the A-Team are responsible for dealing with cases of assault, including in the form of discrimination, which may occur at events and meetings of the FSR and the FSVV, as well as on the premises of the FSR, originating from persons acting in the context of the FSR BCE. They can be contacted at any time - both as individuals and as a committee. Discussions with members of the A-Team are always confidential."

Moodle Administration Team

The FSR Moodle course is a collection of material from the student council. The members of this team are the administrators of the course and provide the material that students send to the FSR. The Moodle course administrators have to reply to emails from students who send material. The administrators are also responsible for the further development, maintenance and organization of the Moodle course.
Students can obtain the registration key by contacting the FSR.

Internal Affairs Team

This team includes other offices that deal with the processes within the FSR, for example office coordination.
