The Institute for Computer Science is present with three contributions at the Berlin Science Week, which takes place from November 1st to 10th.

Axel Wiepke presents the open source project Teach-R, a digital learning tool that allows outgoing teachers to interact with school classes in an authentic environment. They train classroom management methods, communication in class and conducting experiments.

Florian Nowotny illustrates that digital learning is also playing an increasingly important role in professional life with the DigiMixPa project, which serves precision crop production in agriculture.

Computer science professor Ulrike Lucke presents a prototype of the national education platform BIRD. Under her leadership, an IT structure is being developed that is intended to do nothing less than link all digital services and learning formats so that they can be used nationwide and across the board - from primary school to university and far beyond.
