The Software Engineering chair will join FONDA (Foundations of Workflows for Large-Scale Scientific Data Analysis, https://fonda.hu-berlin.de/), a DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre coordinated by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with two projects.

FONDA investigates methods for increasing productivity in the development, execution, and maintenance of Data Analysis Workflows (DAWs) for large scientific data sets. In a project with Tilmann Hickel (BAM) and Lars Grunske (HU Berlin), the research group led by Prof. Anna-Lena Lamprecht will work on “Semantic Composition and Validation of Interacting DAWs in Computational Materials Science”. In a second project, together with Jan Mendling and Matthias Weidlich (both HU Berlin), they will investigate “Early Workflow Design: From Collaborative Scientific Problem-Solving to DAW Specifications”.
