Workshop on Metabolomics

The workshop provided theoretical information about the metabolomics methodologies including extraction and analysis. Focusing on primary metabolomics using LC-MS method, students learned metabolome extraction and sampling to LC-MS machine. Also they learned to analyse the results using “mapfinder” programme, to normalize the data and to interpret the results.
Workshop on Transcriptomics

The workshop provided insights into different transcriptomics methodologies. Focusing on gene expression analysis using qRT-PCR method students experienced RNA extraction, gDNA digestion, cDNA synthesis. They analysed the gene expression for few selected genes and also learned how to normalise the data and interpret the results.
