Fritjof Steinert
Fritjof Steinert received the Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Systems in 2010 and the Master of Engineering in Communication and Information Technology in 2011 from the University of Applied Sciences BHT, Berlin, Germany. In 2012, he joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin as research associate, currently in the Embedded Systems group in the Video Communications and Applications department. Since 2021 he is a PhD student at the chair Embedded Systems Architectures for Signal Processing at the University of Potsdam.
His current research interest is the application of hardware accelerator technologies in heterogeneous data centers to increase energy and resource efficiency. FPGAs coupled directly via the network are particularly suitable for this and therefore his main focus.
