About the Workshop
We are pleased to announce the 8th Potsdam PhD Workshop in Empirical Economics. The aim of the workshop is to give talented young researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their research. The workshop will be accompanied by a lecture series on recent developments of Difference-in-Differences and Two-Way Fixed Effects Estimators held by Clément de Chaisemartin. He will review a fast-growing literature that documents issues of the standard estimators, and that proposes more robust alternatives. Oriana Bandiera will give a special keynote lecture within the welcome event for the new cohort of BSE PhD students.
The Speakers
Clément de Chaisemartin is Professor of Economics at Sciences Po since 2021. He is also a JPAL Affiliate. Oriana Bandiera is the Sir Anthony Atkinson Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, a honorary foreign member of the American Economic Association and president of the European Economic Association.
