Economic Policy and Quantitative Methods (EPQM) | Master
The Master in Economic Policy and Quantitative Methods (EPQM) is a four-semester English-language program. It addresses current economic and socio-political topics such as socioeconomic inequalities, globalization and climate change and discusses instruments of economic policy to tackle these issues. The program combines theory with applications and has a strong focus on methods for quantitative empirical analysis, that enables students to empirically assess economic policy. Throughout the entire program, students will profit from the department’s great staff-to-student ratios and opportunities from the accompanying internship program through the Center for Economic Policy Analysis (CEPA). Incorporating a voluntary internship module, the program offers the possibility to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience in evidence-based policy making based on a fruitful exchange with external research institutions (DIW, PIK, MCC). A joint Double Degree program and other excellent partner universities ensure best support for internationalization during the Master.
The Master in EPQM builds on our successful Bachelor programs in Economics (Volkswirtschaftslehre) and Policy and Economics (Politik und Wirtschaft) where students are well prepared for entering the Master program.
