Welcome to the Smart Soft Matter Group
Welcome to the Smart Soft Matter Group led by Prof. Svetlana Santer. Our research delves into the fundamental phenomena of soft matter at surfaces and interfaces, focusing on the interactions between nanoparticles and polymer surfaces. We explore the nanomanipulation of adsorbed particles, the interaction of nanoparticles with surfaces, and light-driven dynamic operations (LDDO). Our studies also include photochemically induced processes, magnetic-particle filled polymer films, and ordering phenomena at interfaces. Additionally, we employ advanced microscopy and spectroscopy techniques to investigate macromolecules and nano-objects. A significant aspect of our work involves understanding how micro- and nanoparticles interact under light exposure, as detailed in our publication on the remote control of soft nano-objects using azobenzene-containing surfactants.
