„European Network `MOBAK´“ – Sport Didactics

The project "Basis Motor Competencies in European Universities (BMC EU@UNI). Evidence-based diagnosis, promotion, implementation, and dissemination" is one of the twelve subprojects of the ZeLB-projects “UP Network for Sustainable Teacher Education” which is promoted as part of the DAAD-programme “Lehramt.International” (“Teacher Education.International”, 2021-2024).

The main aim of this measure is to develop the already existing evidence-based promotions (https://mobak.info/bmc-eu/), to implement the sustainable structures in the respective countries and to forward the dissemination of the concept. Thus, the project adds to the preparatory work which is already promoted by third-party funds and expands this work substantially. A central aim of the subproject is to expand an institutionalised network in teaching education as well as teacher trainings for physical education teachers in Europe and make these networks available for the teacher education at the University of Potsdam in the State of Brandenburg. Therefore, the programme adds to the visibility of the internationalisation of teacher education and contributes to an interactive exchange of knowledge in educational practice. Further aims are the promotion of the internationalisation in educational degree courses at the University of Potsdam by giving students the opportunity to take part in transnational projects and work on their thesis in other countries with cooperative mentoring. Moreover, students and lecturers have the chance to acquire intercultural competencies through workshops and teaching as well as research stays with the network partners by actively taking part in the network group meetings and by taking responsibilities in the guidance and interactions with invited students and guest researchers.

This projects refers to the subject physical education.

In 2020, the measures aim to deepen the already existing cooperations and to design the Summer School 2021 together. In the second year, the mobility activities (cooperatively mentored thesis) as well as joint conducted courses and research based teaching in the form of projects in primary teacher education will be implemented. In cooperation with the partner in Brno, sustainable e-learning-based cooperative scenarios within the EDUC-programme will be developed. Moreover, the implementation into the universities’ curricular as well as into structures of various training formats will be prepared. During the entire course of the measures, the participations in workshops, further consolidations and institutionalisations of the cooperations is intended.
