Professorship for Social Inequality and Social Policy

The research of the W3-/S-professorship "Social Inequality and Social Policy" (joint appointment with the Social Science Research Center Berlin/WZB) focuses on social inequalities in the areas of work and family. With a broad range of methods (analysis and collection of standardised survey data, web-based data and experimental studies), Lena Hipp studies both the extent of inequalities and the reasons for inequalities.
Prof. Lena Hipp, Ph.D. offers courses on the following topics: Social structure and social inequality, social policy, big data and experimental designs in the social sciences, sociology of the family.
