Dr. Fenne große Deters

Fenne große Deters studied Psychology (Diplom) at the University of Bonn and spent a semester as a research intern at the Swiss Centre for Affective Sciences in Geneva. After her studies she worked in the “Naturalistic Observation of Social Interaction Laboratory” at the University of Arizona, Tucson. At the end of 2011, she started her PhD at the Freie Universität Berlin, Department of Psychology, at the Chair of Statistics, Methods, and Evaluation. In her dissertation she assessed antecedents and consequences of Facebook status updating using behavioral data and self- and informant-reports and observational as well as experimental designs. She received her PhD in 2015. For 2.5 years she applied her knowledge outside of academia working in app-development as well as in data-driven external quality control in the healthcare sector. In June 2018 she joined the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society as a post-doctoral researcher in the research group “Digital Technologies and Well-Being”.
