Social Science Research on Education and the Life Course

We explore educational attainment processes and inequalities across the life course. Using longitudinal and cross-national data, we examine how individual, social, and political factors influence educational outcomes and how these, in turn, shape life chances. Our overarching goal is to generate insights that advance social science theory and inform the design of policies that empower all individuals to reach their full potential.
