- DFG support for young researchers
The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) supports researchers at all stages of their scientific career. This happens on the one hand with direct funding; on the other hand, programs funded by the DFG provide scope for further qualification. The DFG indirectly supports research-oriented teaching with their funding instruments.
- Volkswagen-Stiftung/Foundation
The Volkswagen Foundation supports science and technology in projects in research and teaching. It enables research projects in promising areas and helps scientific institutions improve the structural prerequisites for their work. It devotes particular attention to young researchers and to collaboration among researchers across disciplinary and national borders.

The exclusive purpose of the foundation is, pursuant to their statutes, direct promotion of science at scientific universities and research facilities, primarily in Germany, with special attention paid to young researchers.

In this area, the EU supports research in all disciplines and topics. Research projects can be applied for that support young scientists' mobility phases.

is a unique European initiative that provides access to a broad range of information and funding programs for scientists who want to expand towards or maintain their research in Europe.
- KoWi informs you about the European Union's funding programs
KoWi informs and advises you doctoral and postdoc support programs of the European Union and provides local information events. By means of the "Active Information Service" (Aktiver Informationsdienst, AiD), KoWi also keeps you informed about current job announcements and open positions for young researchers.
