Project title: Equilibrium theory of institutional veto players
Project duration: 2016-2020

Short Description
The project develops an equilibrium theory of institutional veto players. On the one hand, it analyzes the effects of institutional veto players, especially the second chambers, on the formation of a government and, on the other hand, the repercussions of these effects on the reform of the restrictive institutions. The project develops a new index of restrictiveness for institutional veto players and combines logistic regression analysis of advanced parliamentary democracies with historical case studies.
