Program Goals and Future Career Options

The IECL Master program qualifies you for scientific activities such as in research institutes or at universities as well as for further scientific qualification (doctorate).

In addition to that, your excellent specialized knowledge and basic expertise of statistics also qualifies you to take up professional activities in non-university fields in which the investigation of topics of language acquisition, multilingualism, language processing and evidence-based speech therapy research or the in-depth analysis of statistical data is required (e.g. documentation, specialist journalism, specialist editing, consulting of user-oriented tools e.g. for data science, diagnostics).

Please note, that the program does not provide basic training for working as a speech and language therapist.
