Das Gerät ermöglicht das multiparametrische Hochdurchsatzscreening von fluoreszierenden Zellen sowie ihre schnelle und genaue Sortierung. Damit sollen wichtige Forschungsbeiträge zur Charakterisierung von genregulatorischen Kontrollelementen und molekularen Schaltern für die Etablierung von synthetischen Biosynthesewegen geleistet werden. Diese sind unverzichtbare Bestandteile synthetischer Biosysteme, welche zur Herstellung von diversen biotechnologisch interessanten Substanzen eingesetzt werden können.

MELICOMO

MELICOMO is the application of optogenetic constructs to regulate protein activity in a metabolic engineering approach to achieve increased output of the mevalonate pathway and bioproduction of a plant growth-hormone in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
