Leo Wamwanduka explores how the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) is implemented by Zimbabwe’s public administration and civil society to address the problem of violence against women (VAW) in an African post-colonial context. Leo Wamwanduka comes from Zimbabwe and studied in 2013/14 in the Master of Public Management (MPM) course. His performance and commitment to the course were excellent and on the occasion of the New Year's reception in 2015, he received the DAAD prize for outstanding achievements from international students. Leo has been a Senior Fellow of the African Good Governance Network (AGGN) since 2015, a visiting researcher at La Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) Ecuador in South America from 2018 to 2020 as well as a visiting researcher at the Witwatersrand University’s Centre for Legal Studies (CALS) in South Africa from May 2022 to May 2023.
