This course introduces the students to different types of comparative research in public administration, both in a theoretical and in a methodological perspective. It broadens the knowledge and understanding of different politico-administrative systems, leading to a less parochial and more international perspective. Short presentations of PhD projects, self-organized sessions on specific topics, as well as site visits to international organizations in Geneva (UNO, ICRC), the Federal court and the authorities in Lausanne are part of the program.
