Ringvorlesung ZEITFRAGEN (online): Exploring 'crip time': disrupting linearity and normativity in everyday life

In this lecture Dr Poppy Budworth introduces and explores 'crip time'. Throughout the discussion, he considers how concepts such as 'linearity' and '(chrono)normativity' are disrupted through crip readings of everyday life. The lecture focuses on key texts and concepts, including Alison Kafer's Feminist, Queer, Crip, and asks how researchers can 'crip' research time through flexible and caring methods.

Dr Poppy Budworth has recently come to the end of a project at the University of Manchester, titled, 'Austerity and Altered Life-Courses'. In November 2024, she begins a new role as Research Associate on the 'Show Me How and Where You Belong' project, at Lancaster University. His lecture draws on experience from both projects, alongside findings from her doctoral research with young people living with an ostomy.
