Conference "German Idealism and Polish Thought: Jewish and Christian Perspectives"
A bilateral conference of the School of Jewish Theology at the University of Potsdam and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. The main focus will be on the influence of Fichte, Schelling and Hegel on Polish thinkers such as Józef Gołuchowski, Adam Mickiewicz and August Cieszkowski.
The conference will also focus on other points of intersection between Polish and German culture, such as Kant and Maimon, and the philosophy of religion in German Idealism. The conference is sponsored by the Deutsch-Polnische Wissenschaftsstiftung (DPWS) and KoUP at the University of Potsdam.
