Euler Lecture 2024
We would like to cordially invite all those interested in mathematics to this year's Euler Lecture.
The "Euler Lecture in Sanssouci" is a mathematics lecture in a festive setting at the University of Potsdam. The event has been jointly organised by the Berlin and Potsdam mathematical institutes, the Berlin Mathematical Society and many other organisers every year since 1993. The mathematical keynote lecture is selected by a high-calibre jury. There will also be a historical lecture and a musical supporting programme.
The Euler Lecture is named after Leonhard Euler, who was particularly associated with mathematics in Berlin and Potsdam. Among other things, Euler worked for many years as Director of the Mathematical Class at the Berlin Academy and at the court of Frederick the Great in Potsdam.
This year's Euler Lecture will be given by mathematician Alessio Figalli from ETH Zurich. The traditional historical lecture will be given by mathematician Clara Silvia Roero from the University of Turin.
