As one of the spokespeople of the young researchers of public administration (Forum Junge Staats-, Verwaltungs- und Policy-Forschung/FoJuS), our fellow Ina Radtke would like to warmly invite you to submit an abstract for the 10th annual conference. It will take place at our beloved university on 23 and 24 May 2017.
The overall topic is "Coping with Ambiguity" and you find all the details in the attached Call for Papers or on the website (www.fojus.de). As you can see - the call and the conference are in German. However, if there are any English-speaking fellows interested in presenting, please give a short info and some sort of English-speaking panel during the conference can be arranged.
All kinds of contributions (finished and unfinished papers, parts of theses) with a focus on public administration, public management, policy analysis, comparative politics or related disciplines are welcome. The overall questions of the conference are:
- How do political and administrative actors cope with diverging expectations of stakeholders?
- To what extent is ambiguity a result of a policy problem? To what extent does it stem from the politico-adminstrative structures? And what effect does ambiguity have on policy formulation and implementation?
- What structures and processes of cooperation and coordination have been established in the politico-administrative system in order to cope with increasing ambiguity in the policy process?
Please send your abstracts (500 words) to Ina Radtke (iradtkeuuni-potsdampde) by 23 January 2017. And please also forward the call to other colleagues that might be interested.
