Traditional and Novel Coordination Means and the Immigration Crisis in Germany, co-authored with Julia Fleischer, in the panel "Organizing for Societal Security and Crisis Management: Governance Capacity and Legitimacy".
Basanta Thapa, also of WIPCAD’s third cohort, presented the paper“Foreshadowing Data-driven Governance – The Discursive Construction of Big Data Analytics for Government” in the panel “Public Administration and the Digital Turn”.
WIPCAD alumnusRobert Gaede, now atHertie School of Governance, contributed the paper“Reforming Financial Market Regulation: Comparing and Theorizing Organizational Responses to the Financial Crisis” to the panel “The Administrative Dimension of Financial Market Regulation”.
WIPCAD associated doctoral researchersJana Bertels andLena Schulze-Gabrechten presented a co-authored paper on“Internal Structural Dynamics of German Federal Portfolios: How do the Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Foreign Office Deal with Complexity?” in the panel “The Structure and Organization of Government (SOG-PRO Project): Theoretical Perspectives and Empirical Evidence”.
Lena Schulze-Gabrechten also contributed a single-author paper on“Structural Responses after Disaster: Subnational Governments’ Organization for Crisis Management in Germany” in the panel "Organizing for Societal Security and Crisis Management: Governance Capacity and Legitimacy".
Beyond the conference panels, social events like the Polish Evening hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University and a dinner sponsored by theIPSA Research Committee on the Structure and Organisation of Government offered plentiful opportunities to network with likeminded researchers from all over the world.
