WIPCAD career workshop for doctoral fellows

"Strengths, Passions, and Values: A Diversity-Sensitive Roadmap for Career (Re)Orientation"

Within the framework of this workshop, participants will use a variety of tools adapted from career coaching both in a group setting as well as in pairs/triads (partner coaching).

Participants will be guided through activities that will help them create a personal career compass that reflects personal motivating factors, values, and needs related to career and work. Through the workshop activities, participants will develop an awareness of external factors that may influence career choices and reflect on ways to navigate these external influences. They will explore aspects of intercultural, international, and diverse work environments and of “being diverse” on their career paths and choices.

Using their personal career compass, participants will be better equipped to make solid career choices, and can use what they know about themselves to orient themselves on the path to job satisfaction both within academia and beyond.

The workshop will be given by Amanda Behning, professional coach for career development ans intercultural competences. It takes place on December 17th and 18th from 9.30 to 17:30 at the Campus Griebnitzsee and is open to all WIPCAD members and interested doctoral fellows.
