We will meet at 2pm in room 2.28.2.123 in Golm (Haus 28) and have three presentations.
14:15 Ralf Tönjes: Coherence Resonance in Influencer Networks
15:00 Anne Malchow: Bayesian calibration of complex ecological simulation models
15:45 Coffee break
16:00 Christian Riedel: Reproducibility and Open Science Myths
We will have three talks with interesting and divers topics:
Gottfried Hastermann, "Towards analysis of a localized non-linear
ensemble Kalman–Bucy filter in infinite dimensions and with sparse
observations"
Fenne große Deters, "Smartphone Usage and Well-Being in Everyday Life"
Henrik Seckler, "Bayesian deep learning for error estimation in the
analysis of anomalous diffusion"
Since many of you are busy, we decided to make the meeting online only.
The schedule of the meeting is as follows:
13:00 - 13:20 Manuel Roeleke, High-throughput animal tracking
13:20 - 13:40 Robert Hering, Long-term and high-frequency antelope tracking
13:40 - 14:10 Lucas Thiele, Exploring Electoral Campaign Advertising Strategies on Social Media - A Topic Modelling Approach
14:10 - 14:35 Philipp Meyer, Temperature time series - Long memory and fluctuations on multiple timescales
Since many of you are busy, we decided to make the meeting online only.
Our general meeting will take place on 2 June. There will also be an election of the board. In particular, the question is whether we want to anchor the three current excellence initiatives of the university in the executive committee, as all of them also involve targeted data issues. These three initiatives will introduce themselves briefly. At the same time, we should discuss how to anchor the UFS in the initiatives.
The meeting will take place in room 2.123 in house 28 (physics), zoom participation is also possible. The link is
