Who can become a member?
- PhD candidates at the University of Potsdam (both in structured graduate programs and individual doctoral candidates)
- PhD candidates at non-university research institutions, provided that you pursue your doctorate at the University of Potsdam
- temporary employed Postdocs and Junior Professors of the University of Potsdam
The condition for the membership for doctoral candidates is the willingness to follow the quality criteria of the University of Potsdam. These support the securing of optimal PhD conditions and enable successful completion of the doctorate within the training period.

How can I become a member of the Potsdam Graduate School?
It's just a few steps, to apply for membership in the Potsdam Graduate School:
- Complete the online form.
- Sign (digitally) the application that you receive from us as a PDF.
- If necessary, have your supervisor sign the application (digitally).
- Send the application to the Potsdam Graduate School by e-mail or post.
