Philipp Schwartz Initiative

  • Call for Philipp Schwartz Grants

    ***14th Call for Funding Applications is now open***

    The "Philipp Schwartz Initiative" of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation supports the admission of threatened researchers at universities and research institutions, by providing scientists at risk with a two-year fellowship, as well as a lump sum for the receiving institution. The nomination and selection of the candidates takes place at the University of Potsdam.

    The university’s internal deadline for nominations is: Jan. 22nd, 2024.

Fulbright Doctoral Fellowships

    Fulbright Germany invites applications for doctoral fellowships by the deadline of June 1, 2023, for young German scholars planning a four- to six-month research project at a U.S. university beginning in January 2024.

German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo

    +++++ Calls for DWIH projects 2024 ++++++++++

    The University of Potsdam is a main supporter of the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo. Members of the University of Potsdam are eligible to participate in the DWIH’s calls for proposals for the financial support of projects such as scientific events, science based innovation projects as well as initiatives at the intersection of science, economy, and culture in Brazil for up to €5000. 

    The current internal deadline for proposals (projects for first half 2024/max. 2-3 projects): December 6, 2023.

    The current internal deadline for proposals (projects for second half 2024/max. 2-3 projects): February 25, 2024.

    Next call expected:  Nov. 2024 for projects in 2025  

    Please don't send applications directly to the DWIH, but hand in to International Office (silke.brodersen@uni-potsdam.de).
