Smart Room “Mobility” - TALK VW Digital:Lab Berlin
In this digital talk, Oliver Schnell, Software Engineer & Employee Experience Manager, introduces the Digital:Lab Berlin. The entire automotive industry is changing: digitization or autonomous driving - the need for additional IT and software knowledge is growing everywhere. At VW's Digital Lab, software developers and product designers are working on turning the classic car company into an IT company.
This event takes place within the framework of the Smart Room "Mobility" of the Potsdam University Scholarship. Since the winter semester 2020/21, 20 students of the University of Potsdam are supported financially and ideally in the field of mobility of the future.
Here's what you can expect at the event:
"Volkswagen is on a mission to change mobility for future generations. In 2015, the Volkswagen Digital:Lab Berlin has been set out to make great software products. It is the place where talented people are empowered to put their best work into products of the Volkswagen Group. Over the years, our team grew to 60 people who use their expertise in software engineering, product management, and design to craft and ship outstanding products and experiences.
In this insight session, I would like to talk about our work methodologies and in particular about our team setup. In order to give you a glimpse of how we work at the Lab I will present three different videos that give some hands-on impressions about our three major roles at the Digital.Lab: Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers, and how they work together to build awesome products. At the end of the session there will be enough time for a Q&A session", Oliver Schnell, Software Engineer & Employee Experience Manager.
