Jana Bertels

Jana Bertels studied Public Policy and Management (MA) at the University of Potsdam and at the Department of Political Science at the University of Oslo and Political Science (BA) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. She wrote her master´s thesis on the Federal Ministry of Defence as an actor in the field of inter-ministerial coordination. Previously, she worked as an assistant in the State Chancellery of the State of Brandenburg and as an intern in the Federal Ministry of Defence and at the Centre for International Peace Operations. Since December 2014 Jana Bertels is coordinating the Project “European Perspectives for Public Administration”. Furthermore she is working as a research fellow in the DFG- funded comparative research project “Structure and Organization of Government SOG-PRO” and is writing her cumulative dissertation about the „Structure and Organization of Government: The Transversalization of the Machinery of Government“.
